Marching Band Interest Meeting - Immediately Following Awards

There will be a brief meeting held after the awards for any student that is interested in participating in marching band next season. As you are making decisions with your student throughout the year, please keep the COVID guidelines in mind. You can find those guidelines on the county website or posted here. A few key points to remember:

  • The symptoms as laid out by the school are as follows: fever, chills, cough, shortness of breath or difficulty breathing, new loss of taste and/or smell, nausea or vomiting, and/or diarrhea

  • If your student is experiencing ANY of these symptoms, they may not attend school or practices. If your child comes to practice with these symptoms, there is a risk of exposing the rest of the group.

  • Keep your child home for 14 days from the date of close contact with an individual who has a confirmed COVID-19 test result. Close contact is defined as: 1) Being within 6 feet of a sick person with COVID-19 for about 15 minutes without any PPE (i.e. mask or face covering), 2) Being in direct contact with secretions from a sick person with COVID-19, 3) Living in the same household as a sick person with COVID-19.
